Removing gz from extension in WebGL Release folder causes Syntax Error

I figured out that removing the "gz" from the end of the file extensions in the WebGL Release folder fixed the problem where the loading progress bar would be stuck at 10%, then the application would randomly load. Removing those file extensions made the bar load smoothly, but then it threw a syntax error. Is there a way to fix this while still getting the smooth loading bar? I know it has something to do with the gzip compression, but that's about it.
